The difference between AD-COAT and other companies' water-repellent agents. Answers to frequently asked questions from customers.
AD-COAT (penetrating water-repellent agent) is not a product aimed at surface water repellency like general water repellents. AD-COAT is designed to prevent water absorption rather than repel water. This applies not only to stone but also to concrete and wood, as water absorption can lead to staining, mold growth, and deterioration. AD-COAT penetrates absorbent materials, densifying the voids to prevent water and dirt from seeping in. It also stops moisture from rising from the backside, preventing wetting phenomena on the surface. While AD-COAT and water repellents may seem similar, please understand that their performance and intended uses are different before making a selection.
