◎What is a capacitive level gauge? When an insulating material is sandwiched between two electrodes, a capacitor is formed between the electrodes. We apply the principle of this capacitor to create our level gauge. Instead of using two electrodes, our liquid level gauge employs a central conductor and a metal pipe as the electrode configuration. As liquid is introduced into the pipe, the capacitance (commonly referred to as electrostatic capacitance) changes in proportion to the liquid level.
