Reduce distortion caused by quenching! A new surface hardening heat treatment method that does not warp even thin materials.
"Diffusion Nitriding" is a new surface hardening heat treatment method that allows nitrogen to infiltrate and diffuse into steel, followed by quenching from the austenite state. By introducing nitrogen and performing quenching, surface hardness of about 850 HV can be achieved even with inexpensive SPCC materials, and it is possible to increase hardness within the range where nitrogen has diffused internally.
