The world's largest furniture fair, "Milan Salone," was held for six days in April in Milan, Italy. A record-breaking 434,509 people attended, with visitors from 188 countries, showcasing its international appeal and vibrant atmosphere. This time, we sponsored the "Hand-Kneaded Tile" as one of the ten works in nendo's classic exhibition "nendo: forms of movement." The weather was favorable, and there were long lines outdoors, drawing significant attention to nendo. Having participated in many overseas exhibitions before, the atmosphere was completely different from a typical trade show, and the event was exciting throughout! I strongly feel that I want to exhibit independently next year. In Italy, there is a culture that values the old while making the new more modern. I observed how buildings, carefully maintained over the years, are renovated with the latest designs for continued use as active spaces. This made me feel the reason why Milan has become the capital of design and fashion. Please look forward to our participation next year!

The largest tile trade show in America, "Coverings 2018," was held for four days in May in Atlanta. In addition to tiles and stone, many glass mosaics and processing equipment were exhibited, attracting a large number of stakeholders from around the world seeking new products and technologies. This time, in addition to our regular products that we always showcase, we exhibited a new series: the "Hand-Kneaded Tile" conceived by the design office nendo, and the "Design Tile Using Karakami" from Karacho. Many customers showed great interest in the story behind the product concepts and the high quality of the products themselves, leading to numerous inquiries. Out of 925 companies from 35 exhibiting countries, an astonishing 42% were from China, showcasing new technologies such as firing kiln change glazes with roller hearth kilns. To keep pace with China's growing momentum, our company will continue to work on product development every day!
