The ESA1 from Langer EMV-Technik is a system designed for EMC countermeasures aimed at circuit designers. It consists of a set of 11 probes (8 magnetic field probes and 3 electric field probes) to quickly implement EMC countermeasures in development systems, systematizing the countermeasure tools. With this, it is possible to carry out EMC countermeasures to a certain level even without anechoic chambers. By anticipating EMC countermeasures, concentrated actions can be taken towards the goal even if unexpected results occur. Unlike traditional trial-and-error EMC countermeasures, this allows for a methodological approach to countermeasures. The ESA1 is composed of a countermeasure board, shielding tent, transformer, bypass, amplifier, and trunk set (with 11 probe antennas and various connector cables). The ESA1 system, which allows for learning while gaining experience in EMC countermeasures, includes equipment that covers all aspects of EMC countermeasures, enabling improvement in countermeasure techniques while actually implementing them, rather than being solely for educational purposes.
