Lightweight glass foam material S2
Construction Example: Narita City Gobo Line Slope Improvement Work. Ideal for reducing earth pressure on embankments! Easy to construct with standard heavy machinery.
Lightweight glass foam material is a porous lightweight foamed material made from recycled waste glass, used in lightweight embankment construction. In the civil engineering and construction fields, it leverages its lightweight properties to reduce settlement in embankments and road level corrections on soft ground, alleviate wall pressure behind retaining walls, and lessen the load on underground structures. It can also be utilized as a mixed lightweight soil using site-generated soil. There are numerous delivery records primarily for public works from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and various prefectural and municipal governments, including highways and private projects. Since lightweight glass foam material is made from waste glass bottles, it does not leach harmful substances, complies with soil environmental standards, and contributes to a recycling-oriented society. Lightweight glass foam material is an eco-mark product (17 131 006). - Features ○ The civil engineering type is a gravel-like porous body with sizes ranging from 2 to 75 mm, while the landscaping type allows for adjustable granularity. ○ Easy construction using standard heavy machinery for compaction. ○ Excellent drainage even during compaction. ○ Lightweight and easy to handle, with no preparation curing period, allowing for shortened construction time. ○ High flexibility on construction sites, making it possible to work with distorted terrain and buried pipes. It can also accommodate large projects. ○ Can be combined with other lightweight materials. ○ Eco-mark product (17 131 006). For more details, please contact us or download the catalog to view.
