Maruki's "Gachi Rock" is a construction method for large tile wall surfaces that involves securing a dedicated mounting rail to the structure using screws and anchors. Tiles with specially designed support brackets, which are pre-installed at the factory, are then hooked onto the rail and fixed in place with adhesive. By having each tile hooked onto a newly developed bracket, the independence of the tiles is maintained, allowing them to absorb significant swaying of the structure during earthquakes or strong winds, thus preventing detachment or falling.
