Electromagnetic actuator with high responsiveness and bidirectional operation.
The voice coil motor (VCM) is an electromagnetic actuator that achieves high responsiveness and bidirectional operation. As a result, it enables various movements that are not possible with conventional solenoids when combined with driver circuits. 【Features】 ■ Generates force by utilizing the interaction between the magnetic field produced by permanent magnets and the current flowing through the coil. ■ Linear bidirectional operation. ■ The movable part is the coil, allowing for weight reduction and thus high responsiveness. ■ Due to the good linearity of the "thrust: current" characteristic, it can be used in open control when combined with a return spring mechanism. ■ By combining with sensor circuits and driver circuits for closed-loop control, precise movements can be achieved.

basic information
【Characteristics】 ■ The "Thrust: Current" characteristic has a precise proportional relationship. ■ The "Thrust: Stroke" characteristic is constant. ■ Low inductance. 【Other Applications】 ■ Shortening both lead wires of the coil can achieve a damping effect. ■ It is also possible to generate electricity. ■ Can be used as an electromagnetic actuator with an intrinsic explosion-proof structure. → Since it contains a large amount of energy from permanent magnets, it can generate thrust even with a small current. ■ Not only used as an actuator but also has applications as a sensor. ■ We also offer a MM (Moving Magnet) type VCM that does not subject the lead wires to repeated stress.
