Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement Ultrasonic thickness measurement is a method of measuring the thickness of an object from one side using ultrasonic waves. It is typically measured with a specialized device called an ultrasonic thickness gauge. Ultrasonic waves are sent from the measurement surface of the object, and the time taken for the reflection from the back surface to return is measured and converted into thickness.
