The structure of 3M ScotchTint Window Film is fundamentally based on a combination of a polyester film as the base and a strong adhesive that adheres it to glass. The adhesive uses a special material that blocks ultraviolet rays. To this basic structure, a wear-resistant hard coat is added to the surface to prevent scratches, and up to 200 layers of polyester are stacked, making it very thin and smooth.
