High-performance, high-reliability IP core proven by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration).
The Serial ATA (SATA) IP core complies with Serial ATA Revision 3.0 and is designed to operate on FPGA devices such as Xilinx UltraScale, 7 Series, and Intel 10 Series. This IP core provides only the link layer, but reference designs for the transport layer and physical layer are available, allowing connection to SATA3 hard disks without a PHY chip. This SATA IP core maximizes SSD performance, enabling high-speed transfers of over 500MB/s per channel. Limited-time evaluation demo files for various FPGA boards are prepared, allowing performance evaluation on actual devices before purchase. Additionally, the core product comes with reference designs that operate on various Xilinx/Intel FPGA evaluation boards as standard, allowing development to start based on this reference design, enabling rapid product development.

Applications/Examples of results
By combining the SATA-IP core with the "SATA Host IP Core," it is possible to automatically control SATA using only logic without utilizing the CPU, thereby constructing a storage system. Since the core is designed with pure hard-wired logic, it always controls the SATA channel with the best performance. This host IP core is ideal for applications such as ultra-fast data recording systems and RAID controllers. Additionally, the "SATA AHCI IP Core" enables access to SATA devices from the system's processor while maximizing the functionality and performance of the SATA devices. It allows direct access to SATA devices from a Linux OS running on an ARM processor embedded in an FPGA, enabling users to manage SATA storage as drives or files. This allows for application development using the standard libraries of Linux OS, making it an optimal solution for embedded storage systems, RAID controllers, and high-speed large-capacity data collection systems.
