The "HOTTY TPX Mandrel" is a mandrel (round rod) extruded from TPX (poly(methyl pentene): PMP). TPX (poly(methyl pentene)) is a resin with excellent transparency, heat resistance, and chemical resistance. As a mandrel, it has a low surface tension of 24 dyne/cm, which contributes to its excellent moldability and resistance to contamination. In addition, it has distinctive thermal properties, excelling in heat aging resistance and steam (boiling water) resistance.
