"Heat Through Sand" is a pedestrian pavement that combines high-permeability and water-retaining blast furnace crushed slag with high thermal conductivity aggregates (such as silica) in an optimal mix, adding cement, admixtures, and inorganic pigments, resulting in an environmentally friendly pavement that possesses both permeability and water retention functions as well as thermal diffusion capabilities. Since blast furnace crushed slag is a porous aggregate, it allows for "permeability across the entire surface," not just through the gaps between aggregates like conventional permeable pavements. This characteristic makes it less prone to clogging from debris, allowing the permeability and water retention functions to last for a long time. 【Features】 - Rainwater is stored in the fine porous voids of the blast furnace crushed slag from the surface. - Rainwater that permeates into the base is drawn up through capillary action, sustaining the evaporation effect over a long period. - Incorporation of high thermal conductivity aggregates such as silica. → In summer, heat stored in the surface layer is conducted and diffused to the base, reducing surface temperature. → In winter, geothermal heat from the base and subgrade is conducted and diffused to the surface, helping to suppress surface freezing.
