This is a water-soluble copper discoloration inhibitor that forms a complex of copper and organic substances on the copper surface, preventing oxidation and long-term discoloration. It features the ability to achieve coating treatment simply by immersion. ■ BT-5 forms a copper discoloration protective film. It is a standard product among the BT series. ■ The surface treated with this agent does not experience a decrease in electrical resistance. ■ It also has good adhesion to paints, reducing the rate of defects. ■ The discoloration prevention film treated with BT-5 on the copper surface is very strong at low temperatures below 40-50°C, completely preventing discoloration. However, as the temperature rises, the discoloration prevention film is destroyed, and its ability to prevent discoloration decreases. ■ It is a neutral water-soluble agent. ■ Simply immersing in this agent diluted with water at a ratio of 10 to 20 times will prevent oxidation for a long time and maintain a beautiful surface. ■ Immersion temperature: Room temperature to 60°C (recommended 50-60°C) ■ Immersion time: 30 seconds to 2 minutes (varies depending on immersion temperature). ■ For copper products that have already discolored due to cutting oil or heat from machining, it is more effective to use in conjunction with a copper oxide film remover like CU-600. ■ Please also use it for discoloration prevention after plating or barrel polishing. It is effective even when added simultaneously during barrel polishing.
