Founded in 1889, Kinoshita Manufacturing initially engaged in the production of wooden molds and educational physics and chemistry equipment. In 1971, it began developing and manufacturing information processing equipment, and by 1987, it also became involved in the development and production of mechatronics displays, leveraging its expertise. In 1989, on the anniversary of the opening of Kyoto Prefecture, it received the Governor's Award as a "long-established business of Kyoto" and was designated as a "model factory for small and medium-sized enterprises" by the Governor of Kyoto Prefecture.
