By setting a weekly schedule for 24-hour intervals built into the PoE switch, you can control the power supply to devices that receive PoE. In line with the energy-saving era, for devices like wireless APs, IP cameras, and IP phones that are not involved in monitoring operations, it would contribute to CO2 reduction to turn off the power during office downtime for security enhancement. Additionally, there is an issue with devices operating on PoE power: when they freeze unexpectedly despite functioning normally, it can lead to communication or control failures, requiring support engineers to travel on-site for power resets, which incurs significant costs. By implementing dead/alive monitoring of the powered devices, frozen devices can be automatically restarted from the switch side, thereby minimizing such occurrences.
