"Community Riverside Furniture," a landscape material that creates a lively atmosphere in waterside spaces.
Fūkei Sekoro has been in business for 15 years, creating and installing various products. Recently, while reflecting on the works from the past 15 years, I noticed that a significant number of the installations are located in waterside spaces. It may seem obvious now, but Fūkei Sekoro has produced many products primarily made of aluminum. It is only natural that these are frequently used in waterside areas. Items such as fall prevention fences, wooden decks, stairs, ramps, lighting fixtures, handrails, benches, etc. have left a substantial track record in the past. Along with these items, we have now added movable chairs, tables, awnings, and umbrellas—products designed to enhance the vibrancy of the space—and I have called this "Community Riverside Furniture." When considering spaces like decks and stairs as part of a larger community, I feel that they represent "one piece of furniture." I hope these illustrations and products serve as a reference for creating lively spaces by the water. What can we do for the Earth? Or let's work hard to protect the environment; we don't have to think so grandly, as there is Wind Relax Sekoro. I recently realized that since our establishment in 1999, we have been doing good things for the environment in a normal way. For example, in 2001, we quickly launched products made from a new material called "Sekoro Wood," created by mixing waste wood and waste plastic. In 2003, we released the completely independent power supply streetlights "Solight" and "Hoolight." In 2008, at our Kanto factory, we began using solar power, supported by NEDO grants, to cover part of the electricity needed for product manufacturing. The Wind Relax Sekoro project, which started to "create a landscape of relaxation," has encountered new landscapes as we live in the 21st century, often referred to as the century of the environment. We cherish this encounter and feel a desire to "eco-friendly with ease" and "pass on this wonderful Earth to our children." With products made by Wind Relax Sekoro, you can help the environment just by using them normally, without needing to do anything special. We will continue to create such products in the future.
