Since the piping will carry exhaust gases containing solvents, it is necessary to use stainless steel ducts. They have requested to keep costs as low as possible. Issues: 1. A φ500 stainless steel duct must be installed from the manufacturing building to the outdoor scrubber over a distance of 150m. 2. With stainless steel spiral ducts, leaks occur at the crimped joints. 3. If standard stainless pipe products are used, only thick-walled specifications are available, which increases costs and weight. 4. Since this work will be done simultaneously with other construction, it is necessary to devise a work schedule that fits within the construction period.

Commercially available SUS steel pipes are heavy and expensive, so we proposed to manufacture and install thin-walled SUS pipes. Points: 1. To keep costs down, we processed SUS plates by bending them into a circular shape, welding the seams to create the components. 2. To minimize the number of connection points, we made the straight pipes 6 meters long and welded flanges at both ends. 3. To shorten the construction period and reduce costs, the installation work on-site will only involve flange connections. 4. To expedite the schedule, we will conduct a thorough preliminary site survey and avoid any work that requires adjustments. 5. Since the pressure is not very high, we selected thin-walled materials for the SUS plates, achieving cost reduction and weight savings.
