As a countermeasure, they used an auto strainer to reduce nozzle clogging, but the maintenance of the strainer was quite challenging. 3. To reduce strainer maintenance, they increased the mesh size of the filter, but this led to frequent clogging of the shower nozzles, creating a cycle of increased cleaning effort. We proposed an automatic strainer made by Asahi Machinery with the aim of minimizing clogging of the shower nozzle even when using circulating water, and reducing maintenance of the auto strainer to a minimum. 1. The automatic backwashing type automatically resolves filter clogging, saving effort. 2. During operation (filtration), it allows for filter cleaning (clogging resolution) and automatic drainage without reducing the flow rate of the passing water. 3. For measures against shower nozzle clogging, a variety of mesh types can be used to determine the passing particle size of the filter, allowing for high precision. 4. The filter is designed to be durable. 5. Maintenance tasks such as filter removal, cleaning, and reassembly are infrequent and can be performed easily. 6. The automatic backwashing of the filter allows for both differential pressure and time to be set as desired. 7. The filter is not a single drum type but is divided into multiple elements, making disassembly and cleaning easy with only simple tools required.
