Contributing to the reduction of development costs! After selecting the basic model based on voltage and current, customization through programming is possible! Motor speed controller.
Curtis is a leading company in motor speed controllers that introduced PWM control (Pulse Width Modulation) to electric vehicles in the 1980s. They offer a diverse lineup suitable for various applications, including simple and user-friendly DC brushed motors with a long track record, DC permanent magnet motors suitable for small vehicles such as electric trolleys and stair lifts, and SepEx (separately excited) motors that allow for versatile control with abundant parameters, as well as advanced AC induction motors. They also have a wide range of CAN-compatible models available. Compared to permanent magnet AC synchronous motors and brushless DC motors, AC induction motors that do not use rare earth materials are cost-effective and have lower country risk for imported materials, making them mainstream in small electric vehicles in BRICS countries as well as Europe, the U.S., and China. Additionally, the use of Curtis's proprietary simple programming language, VCL (Vehicle Control Language), allows vehicle manufacturers to set their own unique programs, balancing flexible settings with the protection of know-how. *The catalog is available in English.
