It is the most commonly used method for manufacturing steel plate elbows, known as the Monaka method. After cutting the steel plate material into a fan shape, two components are press-formed symmetrically with upper and lower molds and then stacked together, welding the back side (outer side) and the belly side (inner side). The longitudinal weld lines become two, and it is mainly applied to large diameter sizes.
