The ED3538T/R is a device that extends the transmission distance of PoE using metal wires (telephone lines). It can extend the transmission distance of PoE power while simultaneously transmitting Ethernet data over a maximum of 1200m of metal wire. The ED3538T sends power received from a DC power source or AC adapter and data received from terminals to the ED3538R over the metal wire. The ED3538R transmits the received PoE power and Ethernet data to PoE terminals over LAN cables. This is an optimal solution for installing PoE terminals such as IP cameras in environments where power wiring to the terminals is difficult or where temperature conditions are harsh.
