◆ Compact and lightweight radiation (gamma ray) spectrometer ◆ Just connect via USB
SIGMA is a new product from the UK company KromeK. If you are dissatisfied with the resolution of NaI or think that LaBr3 and SrI are too expensive, please consider this. SIGMA has a compact body measuring just 35x35x130mm and weighs only 300g. This small box not only contains a large capacity CsI (<1x1x2 inch) but also a high-performance MCA with 4k channels built-in. By simply connecting it to a Windows PC with the free KSpect software and a USB cable, you can immediately start measuring radiation spectra.

basic information
SIGMA combines CsI scintillation with SiPMs. It does not require high voltage since it does not use photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) like those used in NaI detectors. Additionally, compared to PMTs, SiPMs are much smaller, significantly improving the overall dimensions and weight of the device. The energy resolution of SIGMA is 6.5% at 662 keV from 137Cs, which is superior to that of conventional NaI. With a thickness of 2 inches, SIGMA50 also has a higher detection efficiency for higher energies (for example, 60Co). SIGMA features excellent electronic circuits with numerous achievements in Japan, such as with GR-1 and K102, allowing for immediate use by simply connecting to a PC via a USB cable. There are plans to connect to KromeK's spectrum survey meter RayMon10 soon. For inquiries, please feel free to contact sales@nikiglass.com.
