The O-ring cherry seal is molded from various materials, including NBR-70-2 (type 2 / nitrile rubber), and is available in a wide range of sizes.
Among the materials made of nitrile rubber, acrylonitrile is present in large quantities, allowing it to be used for fuel oil due to its excellent oil resistance. However, it is inferior in weather resistance. Before JIS B2401:2012 established NBR-70-2, it was referred to as Type 2 (old JIS standard = JIS B2401:2005).
