Additionally, in AUTO selection mode, if there is no signal for about one minute after power save starts, it automatically changes the duty cycle to reduce battery drain during standby. ●Approximately 19 hours of reception with alkaline batteries Achieves about 15 hours of reception with the included Ni-MH (nickel-metal hydride) battery. With alkaline batteries, it significantly exceeds the IC-R5's approximately 10 hours (when using alkaline batteries), providing about 19 hours of reception.
