The NL-type transformer has a circular cross-section for the iron core and a curved magnetic path direction, and since the coil is wound inward, the leakage flux is extremely low, preventing interference with nearby equipment. Due to the minimal leakage magnetic flux, the utilization rate of the alternating magnetic flux is high, allowing for miniaturization and reducing the excitation current.

By winding the wire in a cylindrical shape, the total length of the wire becomes the shortest, which reduces weight and lowers direct current resistance (DCΩ), resulting in higher efficiency. Additionally, it allows for a greater number of input and output circuits.
