Energy compensation type scintillation survey meter
TCS-172B is an energy-compensated type scintillation survey meter. It can switch between dose equivalent rate (μSv/h) and counting rate (s^-1 = cps). The dose equivalent rate mode is suitable for measuring environmental gamma radiation dose equivalent rates, while the counting rate mode can be used for iodine measurements in emergencies. In dose rate measurements, due to the built-in energy compensation circuit, the raw counting values are displayed without applying calibration constants to the meter readings.
