Rust removal test 1. Prepare a "rust removal solution" that completely submerges the parts. 2. Soak lightly rusted parts for about 30 minutes and heavily rusted parts overnight. 3. Remove the parts and rinse thoroughly with distilled water or rust-inhibiting detergent. 4. Wipe the parts with a dry cloth if necessary. 5. If rust remains, soak the parts in the removal solution again. 6. Rinse again until there are no traces of the removal solution left. 7.
