A cushioning rubber sheet installed under the solar panel frame or under the foundation to protect the waterproof layer. It protects the waterproof layer from the load and vibrations of the solar power generation system.
The Regupol Resist Solar AK is a waterproof protection sheet used between solar panel (photovoltaic panel) mounting frames or weight foundations and the waterproof layer for rooftop (flat roof) installations. If solar panel mounting frames or weight foundations are installed directly on the exposed waterproof layer, the solar modules may vibrate due to wind and potentially damage the existing waterproof layer. Therefore, it is necessary to place a cushioning rubber sheet between them to prevent damage to the existing waterproof layer. The Resist Solar AK has high load-bearing capacity and protects the waterproof layer from vibrations. To prevent the oil content of the rubber sheet from affecting the PVC resin-based waterproof layer, or to stop plasticizers contained in the PVC waterproof sheet from migrating to the rubber sheet and compromising the waterproof performance, the Resist Solar AK is treated with an aluminum film. Regupol Resist Solar AK has been supplied to many solar panel equipment manufacturers in Europe.
