Glow-in-the-dark tape for safety and disaster prevention, glow-in-the-dark signage (evacuation guidance signage).
It has excellent afterglow properties, and if exposed to light for about 15 to 20 minutes, it will glow in the dark for a long time!
There are two types of evacuation guidance luminous indicators: evacuation exit indicators and evacuation direction indicators. Various performance standards, such as luminous retention and heat resistance, have been established, and Shinroihi has completed products that meet all of these standards. This evacuation guidance indicator uses a film printed with screen printing that incorporates a new material with long-lasting luminous properties. It excels in luminous retention compared to conventional products, continuing to emit light in the dark for a long time after being exposed to light for about 15 to 20 minutes. It outperforms traditional luminous signs in both luminous retention and brightness. Additionally, it contains no radioactive materials, making it safe. All products in this catalog comply with the structural and performance standards for evacuation exit indicators and evacuation direction indicators as announced by the Tokyo Fire Department (Tokyo Fire Department Notification No. 4, March 2005). Between 1958 and 1959, Dai Nippon Paint Co., Ltd. proposed the idea of separating and establishing its Ofuna factory as an independent entity, leading to the establishment of its first subsidiary. The company’s general affairs department considered and proposed names for the new company, first searching for English documents related to the new company’s main product, "fluorescence." Terms such as fluorescence, fluorescent paint, luminous body, and luminous paint were identified, and it was found that in German, luminous body is "Leuchte" and luminous paint is "Die Leuchtfarbe." Therefore, the founder and first president, Nobu Negishi, had his name "Nobu" combined with the German word "Leuchte" to create a new term "SIN+LEUCHTE," which was phonetically read as "Shinroih" and spelled as "SINLOIH."
