The Shinroihi Color SF-3000N series is a new type of water-dispersible fluorescent pigment with ultra-fine fluorescent particles evenly dispersed. Water-based fluorescent markers have become mainstream, and due to the demand for strong lightfastness and water resistance, there is a growing need for water-based pigment types instead of traditional dye-soluble types. The applications of the SF series are not limited to inks for water-based markers but can also be widely used in products that require ultra-fine particle characteristics of less than 0.2μm. The SF-3000N complies with EN71 Part 9. Additionally, it reduces the residual amount of monomers compared to conventional products, making it a more environmentally friendly option. Between 1958 and 1959, Dai Nippon Paint Co., Ltd. proposed the idea of separating and establishing its Ofuna factory as an independent entity, leading to the establishment of its first subsidiary. The company’s general affairs department considered and proposed names for the new company, first searching for English documents related to the new company’s main product, "fluorescence." Terms such as fluorescence, fluorescent paint, luminous body, and luminous paint were identified, and it was found that in German, luminous body is "Leuchte" and luminous paint is "Die Leuchtfarbe." Therefore, the founder and first president, Nobu Negishi, had his name "Nobu" combined with the German word "Leuchte" to create a new term "SIN+LEUCHTE," which was phonetically read as "Shinroih" and spelled as "SINLOIH."
