1. Modulates RS-232c signals to enable long-distance transmission over optical fiber. By utilizing optical fiber, it avoids troubles caused by noise and lightning protection measures. Compatible with H-PCF, multi-mode fiber, and single-mode fiber. It allows for optical transmission over a maximum distance of 30 km. 2. Control signal transmission. Control signals (RTS/CTS signals), ready signals (DTR/DSR), and carrier signals (DCD) are also transmitted transparently. 3. Cross-connection. By setting the switch, control signals can be internally looped back to disable handshaking. This eliminates the need to loop signals within the cable when connecting DTE devices to each other. 4. Connection status monitoring. It monitors the reception status of the RS-232c port and optical port, allowing for display via LED and monitoring through rack options. 5. Remote monitoring. By setting the switch, the connection status can be notified to the opposite device. The opposite device can monitor the connection status on the remote side through LED display or rack mount options.
