To classify powder particles into the required sizes (a process called classification), there are generally two methods: using a screen (sieve) and utilizing differences in specific gravity to classify with air (air classifier). It is not feasible to achieve 100% or a mixing ratio of 0% with an air classifier, and vibration-type sieves are not suitable for large-scale processing due to issues like clogging. The "Micro Shifter" is a unique classifier that allows powder particles to pass through a screen by riding on an air flow. The newly developed fan-less type (NF type) incorporates a specific gravity separation mechanism, achieving higher precision classification.
