The SPC composite girder bridge arranges steel frames within the upper flange and takes the reaction forces of external cables at both ends. This structure allows for the formation of a tension structure within the cross-section, enabling a significant elevation of the neutral axis. Additionally, by incorporating steel frames, rigidity is enhanced, allowing for the tensioning of a total of 12 strands from both external and internal cables at the Atogase Bridge, which greatly helps in suppressing concrete creep and drying shrinkage. Furthermore, regarding PC steel wires, fully rust-proof SC strands and SC unbonded wires are used throughout, resulting in a structure with excellent corrosion resistance.
