It features a transmitter with no moving parts and external outputs, making it suitable for in-line measurement. When a vibrating body (viscosity sensor) is placed in the liquid and vibrated, the amplitude of the sensor's vibrations is suppressed and decreases due to the viscous resistance of the liquid, which increases with the liquid's viscosity.
