Rene Erbusuto was the first person to apply simple industrial materials to furniture design. One of the subjects he excelled in, the "Expander Chair," featured a seat and backrest fitted with rubber bands used for securing cargo on bicycles. This piece is one of those versions and was produced shortly after the armless version. The chair is also depicted in photographs of a showroom established in 1931 by the ceramic artist and designer Robert Lanman. <Specifications> W62×D58×H96cm <Materials> Steel with chrome plating, elastic spring.

Company information
Our company is the exclusive distributor for Steel Line in Japan. Steel Line is one of the oldest reproduction manufacturers in Italy, with nearly 30 years of history, and they participate in the Milan Salone every year. We originally started as a select shop for reproduction products, but due to the prolonged recession and deflation, the distribution of high-quality reproduction products in the Japanese market decreased, while the number of low-quality reproduction products increased, leading to a reduction in products that we could confidently recommend to our customers. In response to this, we began importing Steel Line products in 2009. Currently, we primarily sell Steel Line products through wholesale to design offices, architectural firms, and interior shops.
