It is often desired to monitor digital signals from sensors or control digital devices from a PC. However, until now, it was common to attach expansion boards to the PC. This method, however, did not allow for the monitoring and control of devices and sensors located in multiple places away from the PC. The LAN IO series is a compact, low-cost unit that enables the monitoring of sensors and control of devices in multiple remote locations by monitoring and controlling digital signals via LAN. The LA-5R can control 5 relay contact outputs. It can be combined with the LA-5P-P to extend the contacts.
