Looking at the history of our center, new large laser devices have been added approximately every five years. A mechanism for registering numerous measurement data associated with new devices is also necessary. Considering the characteristics of the collaborative research and shared use center, as well as the future development of the center, we adopted RCM-DB as the foundation for building the database system. Being XML-based, the structure of the database is easy for humans to understand, it has excellent maintainability, and it is attractive because new input items can be easily added.
