- Short construction period! - Seismic reinforcement completed with only external work! - Assigned method certification technical personnel to the headquarters (Nagoya), Tokyo branch, and Osaka branch!
As a member of the Pitacolumn Construction Method Association, we have accumulated a track record of construction achievements. Please consider us as a reliable seismic reinforcement method. ● We have assigned two certified "construction managers" in Tokyo, four in Nagoya, and three in Osaka to respond to requests from a wide area. ● The Pitacolumn (Plate Included concrete Tightly Attached column) method is one of the seismic reinforcement methods that allows reinforcement work to be carried out while the building is in use. ● The construction method involves first installing post-installed anchors at regular intervals on the existing columns to be reinforced. Steel plates (plates) are then attached to the anchors installed at a position 10 cm from the existing columns. Additionally, elliptical shear reinforcement bars (hoops) are distributed at regular intervals around these steel plates. Finally, approximately 20 cm thick concrete is poured to encase these elements, completing the work. The basic concept of Pitacolumn is to perform seismic reinforcement work without entering the interior of the building. ● Technical evaluation obtained from the Japan Architectural Disaster Prevention Association (July 13, 2001) ● Patent No. 3051071 ● Trademark Registration No. 4233798 ... basic information
● Seismic reinforcement with only external work Since no indoor work is required, the building can be used as usual during construction. It is adopted in various types of buildings such as hospitals, schools, and government offices. ● Easy maintenance Pitacolumn is made of reinforced concrete. Because the surface is concrete, there is no rust like that of steel reinforcement materials, making maintenance easy. It is also suitable for coastal areas. ● Reduction of industrial waste There is no need to dismantle exterior walls or sashes, and it is simply attached to temporary buildings, significantly reducing the generation of industrial waste. There is also no occurrence of asbestos. ● Abundant design options You can choose from various brace patterns, allowing for flexible design. Additionally, since it is made of concrete, tiling and spray finishes can be done as desired. ● Significant cost reduction possible There are no removal or restoration works for exterior walls, sashes, or concrete, and no internal work is required. This shortens the construction period and enables total cost reduction. ● Easy replacement from framed steel braces It is expected to have equivalent strength to commonly used indoor-mounted framed steel braces, allowing for replacement in design.
