The wall material "Seto Shikkui," made from calcium ion water generated from oyster shells, is a revolutionary new material for walls. Seto Shikkui is a natural plaster that is gentle on both the body and the environment, created through joint research between Kenchikusha Co., Ltd., Yuwan Village, and Kinki University. After extensive research, it was found that the calcium ion water contained in Seto Shikkui reacts with carbon dioxide in the air, transforming into solid calcium carbonate. During this process, when the plaster dries and shrinks, it effectively fills the gaps that form inside, increasing its strength. The strength is five times greater, and it is ideal for creating sand plaster walls with a thickness of 30mm or more (15mm thick wood lath and 15mm thick plaster). It is effective for breathability, heat retention, air purification, and condensation prevention. Furthermore, the unique effects of the plaster can be expected to last for many years in proportion to the amount of plaster used.
