For accurate visibility measurement
The PWD20 measures visibility based on the principle of forward scattering. It is calibrated using a high-precision transmissometer as a standard. The optical sensor for measuring visibility is installed inside a downward-facing hood, which protects the lens from precipitation and dust. Its structure is designed to withstand harsh weather, allowing for stable and reliable measurements over a long period. In areas where there is a risk of snow and ice accumulation in winter, an optional hood heater is effective.

Each part is compactly designed, making the entire unit very lightweight. The power and signal lines are connected via easy-to-use connectors. It can be mounted in various ways on standard-sized poles or masts.
