Asian walnut is acacia wood. Acacia is widely distributed from tropical to temperate regions in Southeast Asia, Africa, Australia, and America, with over 600 species. Generally, it is a hard and heavy wood, with the heartwood being dark brown and the sapwood varying from white to darker shades. However, due to its diversity and different origins, the grain and quality of the wood can also vary. Silver walnut is a different finish of the same acacia. It is solid flooring with a urethane coating that is easy to maintain.
