The pitot tube has a long history as an instrument for measuring the speed of aircraft.
It is the most theoretically superior and reliable method for mechanically measuring the flow rate of gases and liquids. The flow rate within the pipe can also be determined from the cross-sectional area of the pipe and the average flow velocity. The tip of a standard Pitot tube has a total pressure port, and there is a static pressure port on the side. By inserting the Pitot tube into the flow pipe as shown in the diagram, the difference between total pressure and static pressure, that is, the dynamic pressure, is measured with a manometer, and the flow velocity is calculated using the following formula.

basic information
**Features** - JIS-type pitot tubes based on the JIS-B-8330 standard are the most commonly used. - Those manufactured according to the standard dimensions are considered acceptable without certification, with a pitot coefficient of 1. - The material is made of stainless steel. - The diameter and length of the pitot tube are determined based on the measurement conditions, and the diameter of the pitot tube must be less than or equal to 1/10 of the diameter of the flow tube. Additionally, care should be taken in selecting the length to ensure that the tip of the pitot tube does not vibrate in the fluid. For other functions and details, please contact us.
