The filter section is composed of several ring-shaped disks, through which water passes through narrow grooves carved into the disks. The overlapping grooves of the disks create countless pores, effectively removing large amounts of debris and solids. Water flows from the outside of the disks to the inside, and the grooves on the surface of the disks become narrower as they move inward. Large solids adhere to the surface of the disks and are captured, while smaller solids that are not captured on the surface are reliably trapped with microscopic precision in the three-dimensional structure between the narrow pores and the disks.
