Particularly, with flash memory types centered around SSDs becoming mainstream in recent years, it is said that reliable data erasure by means other than physical destruction is difficult. In general media shredders, there is a high possibility that such media can pass through without being destroyed, making them unreliable for data erasure. However, with the MS-Z5, it employs a completely different mechanism from conventional media shredders that use 'sand production' technology to crush materials to sand size in one pass, ensuring reliable physical destruction even of small semiconductor chips. It is widely used by national institutions such as central government agencies. Being purely domestic, it also ensures reliable maintenance and supply of consumable parts even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
