The expansion joint for flexible pipes had economic issues due to the structure of its airtight mechanism when used for large diameters (φ2400 or more). Therefore, the Multi-Def was developed for large diameters. It successfully changes the structure of the automatic rubber ring, allowing it to economically and reliably absorb the expansion and eccentricity of large-diameter piping. It is used in water supply pipes for drinking water and in cooling water pipes for power plants.
