A construction project that requires the removal of injection pipes. A construction project that ultimately needs to decompose in the ground. Biodegradable injection pipes that are environmentally friendly.
In conventional liquid injection methods (such as the double pipe double packer method), the injection pipes used for injection (referred to as the injection outer pipe, primarily made of PVC) are typically left in the ground. This has posed challenges when excavation or other activities are carried out after injection, as the remaining injection pipes can become obstacles during excavation. Therefore, we developed an environmentally friendly biodegradable injection pipe that has similar workability to existing injection pipes and decomposes over time by microorganisms in soil, freshwater, seawater, and compost, ultimately turning into carbon dioxide and water.

basic information
【Features】 1. It is a plastic that returns to nature: It is biodegradable by microorganisms in soil, freshwater, seawater, and compost, ultimately becoming carbon dioxide and water. 2. It can be installed just like conventional tubes: It has a flexible structure with the same outer diameter of 8mm and inner diameter of 6mm as traditional injection pipes, made by extruding soft biodegradable resin. 3. Incineration is also easy: Even when incinerated, it has a low combustion calorific value (about half that of polyethylene), making incineration treatment easy.

Applications/Examples of results
【Construction Case Studies】 In the road tunnel construction using the open-cut method with the ultra-multipoint injection method (simultaneous multipoint injection method), water-stopping measures were implemented for the ground support. After the water-stopping measures, the areas to be improved were excavated, and to construct the main works while considering the workability during excavation, a biodegradable injection pipe called "BioTube" was adopted. One year after the ground improvement work, the BioTube was retrieved, and observations of the decomposition status, evaluation of the remaining rate, and confirmation of the degradation condition through tensile tests were conducted, confirming that sufficient decomposition had progressed. 【Main Applications】 - Construction projects that require the removal of injection pipes after chemical injection - Construction projects where environmental considerations are required for buried soil pipes 【Applicable Methods】 - Ultra-multipoint injection method (simultaneous multipoint injection method) *For detailed technical materials and catalogs, please request them through the inquiry form on our company website.
