The slurry shield tunneling method stabilizes the face by maintaining the pressure of the slurry filled in the cutter chamber of the slurry shield machine to match the earth pressure and groundwater pressure at the front of the machine. Additionally, the excavated soil is mixed with the slurry and transported out of the tunnel as a fluid, while the discharged slurry is separated into soil and slurry by a slurry treatment facility, with the slurry being sent back to the face. The piping system for the slurry supply and discharge forms a circulation circuit.
