It glows in the dark and functions as a guiding handrail.
A new indoor glow-in-the-dark type has been added to the round YM handrails, which have a proven track record in many buildings for corridors and stairs. They absorb light from sunlight and indoor fluorescent lights (ultraviolet rays) and emit light in the dark (without photocatalysts). Even in sudden darkness caused by power outages during disasters, the handrail section emits its own light, highlighting its presence, making it an excellent guiding handrail during evacuation.
