Trelleborg is further promoting its commitment to innovation and quality improvement through the completion of the expansion of its state-of-the-art facility at the Malta manufacturing plant. The significant investment in clean rooms and related facilities marks an important milestone in supporting the rapidly evolving life sciences and semiconductor manufacturing industries. This expanded new facility is located in Hal Far and Marsa, Malta, and has added 4,000 m² (43,055 ft²) of manufacturing space. Additionally, the space for offices, laboratories, and manufacturing support functions exceeds 2,000 m² (21,528 ft²). Two advanced clean rooms have been newly established to accommodate the production of braided reinforced silicone for biopharmaceutical applications, extruded products, and high-performance sealing and damping solutions for semiconductor manufacturing.

CellXPro: Improving Battery Reliability Our company has extensive experience in the specification and testing of sealing materials specifically designed for EV applications, offering a variety of materials suitable for cylindrical and prismatic cells. Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has opened a 1,000 square foot hydrogen testing lab in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This lab will enable Trelleborg to further expand its testing capabilities for current and future hydrogen applications. The establishment of this lab is part of Trelleborg's strategic goals to support the expansion of sealing products for hydrogen applications, to provide a testing environment that addresses customer challenges across the entire hydrogen value chain—from production to transportation, storage, and final use—and to respond to various applications for the future implementation of hydrogen in society.
